There are hundreds of organisations offering the HomeBuy schemes, so to simplify the application process the government has appointed Local HomeBuy Agents for each region of England, and it's their job to take applications for anyone interested in low cost home ownership, and to determine whether you are eligible for the schemes.   All of the housing providers in the region who are offering the HomeBuy schemes have to offer their properties and developments through their Local HomeBuy Agent, although they may also market them independently.  Unless you've already got your eye on a development - in which case by all means contact the developer or housing association directly - it's best to get in touch with your Local HomeBuy Agent as your first port of call.
