January 2019: Melissa (25) and George (26) have lived local to Leighton Buzzard all their lives and were keen to stay in the area to be close to friends, family and work. After living with their parents, they decided to rent together in Hockliffe but were keen to get on the property ladder and had their hearts set on one place.
Melissa comments, “Having lived around Leighton Buzzard all our lives, we know the area really well. We had heard that some new homes were going to be built on the former RAF Stanbridge base and started to do our research. “The show home was due to open at 10am on Saturday 24th February and we were so keen to be the first that we arrived extra early to have a wander around, getting a feel for the development. We even knew the exact plot we wanted to reserve”.

Melissa and George purchased a two bedroom home at Rutherford Fields. Melissa continues, “The development totally lived up to our expectations and we loved the feel and look of the show home. We were so keen to reserve that we paid our £500 to hold the property that morning.”
Melissa and George moved into their new home in August. Melissa explains, “The whole process was so smooth in buying our first home and we couldn’t wait to pick up the keys. As soon as we walked into our new home, I just couldn’t believe it. George asked me to marry him and I said yes. It couldn’t have been more perfect. We now have our first home together and are getting married in 2020.”
