Catalyst Homes has released from plan its latest collection of Shared Ownership Homes in Newton Leys, just outside Bletchley, near Milton Keynes.

Oakbrook will feature 15, two and three bedroom homes and two bedroom apartments which are ideal for first time buyers looking to get on the property ladder and become part of a brand new community which is being created by Taylor Wimpey

Gareth Gow, Area Sales Manager for Catalyst Homes comments, “The new homes at Oakbrook are available to those who live or work in the Aylesbury Vale borough or have a connection with the area. Each home is finished to a high specification and will feature contemporary kitchens with integrated appliances included within the price, flooring throughout and a private garden.”

Shared Ownership gives first time buyers and those that do not currently own a home a more affordable way to get on the property ladder and purchase a share in a new build home. You pay a mortgage on the share you own, and then pay rent to Catalyst on the remaining share. Catalyst Homes Bletchley Kitchen

Gareth continues, “Because you only need a mortgage for the share you are purchasing, the amount of money required for a deposit is a lot lower when compared to the amount that would be required when purchasing outright. It often works out cheaper than renting a property. Purchasers also have the option to increase their share during their time in the property via a process known as ‘staircasing’.”

The quaint Buckinghamshire village of Newton Longville is just two miles away from Oakbrook which is famous for its award winning restaurant at the Crooked Billet village pub. A selection of shops, a supermarket and a choice of pubs and restaurants can also be found just a little further afield. There is a selection of schools for children of all ages are all within easy reach.
